Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent reviews of buildings managed by Eric Nelson indicate a mixed experience for tenants. Many appreciate the convenient locations and well-maintained amenities such as in-unit washers and responsive supers. However, tenants frequently express dissatisfaction with management's responsiveness, especially concerning maintenance issues and pest control complaints, leading to frustrations over noise and cleanliness. While some buildings exhibit strong pest prevention and garbage management, others show signs of poor maintenance and management practices, including significant rent increases and unaddressed heating issues. Prospective tenants can expect a blend of well-managed amenities alongside considerable challenges in landlord communication.

Decent Units, Poor Management

Pros

Location, Subway Proximity, and Amenities

Cons

Management responsiveness to maintenance issues and excessive rent increases

Former tenant·just now

Lots of potential but awful property management

Pros

Young crowd of neighbors who are all generally friendly and nice layouts. In unit washer dryer is also a nice plus.

Cons

1. The property management group is the worst I have ever dealt with. Completely unresponsive to urgent issues and generally make administrative errors at every turn. 2. Location is across from a project and can be quite loud at night 3. Cockroach and mouse problem which can be an issue in most pre war buildings 4. New rental prices are untenable for the value.

Advice to the owners

The property management group is universally disliked by all tenants. Replace them asap and the property will be much more successful.
