Walter is responsive but there are pests, trash in the lobby, and loiterers who are NOISY

Walter is very responsive during work hours. He's kind and helpful.
Cons
There were cockroaches when I moved in. Still treating it. At least the building management is responsive, but it is annoying and gross. Also, there are either building residents or random people who come into the lobby very late at night and hold extremely loud conversations that echo around and reach me because I'm on the first floor. It can be a pretty noisy boulevard to be on but that's just the area.

Nice pre-war details and kind neighbors. It’s also affordable and rent stabilized.
Cons
Everything else. EVERYTHING. The elevator breaks constantly, and there are many people who have mobility issues. The lobby, stair wells, elevator, and hallways are never cleaned and it smells. The pest issue, especially roaches, is unmanageable. I keep my apartment so clean and I still see one at least once a week. I even went as far as buying my own pest control supplies and it helped for a bit but it’s a building-wide issue. They need to do a major extermination. Repairs are nearly impossible to get done—you make appointments through management and then they never show up. I’ve stayed home several times from work only to have them never show up.
Advice to the owners
Please make this a livable building for tenants who deserve basic access to clean, sanitary, accessible living spaces.
