Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenants renting from Tom Shimura report mixed experiences. Positive feedback highlights responsive management at some buildings, good heat and hot water, and rent stabilization benefits. However, many reviews cite inconsistent maintenance, pest problems, poor communication, and trouble reaching management. Some tenants face issues like poor heating, garbage mismanagement, noise, and unprofessional superintendents, leading to dissatisfaction. While certain locations are praised for convenience and quiet neighbors, a number of renters recommend replacing the maintenance staff and improving building upkeep. Overall, prospective tenants should expect variable management quality depending on the building, with some requiring significant improvements in responsiveness and maintenance.
