Decent Apartment, nothing fancy

Dog friendly and affordable

Cons

Smoking neighbors and there were issues with the hot water heater but the super did resolve it in a few days it's just mainly an old building with the typical issues.

My first nyc apt

Pros

It’s located in the heart of the city. Being so close to union square is a dream. The actual apt has tall ceilings, bright white walls, and it feels safe even without a doorman.

Cons

I’ve never lived anywhere else in NYC so maybe all older building have this problem, but the pipes in the bathroom are constantly rattling and banging.

Advice to the owners

It would be convenient if the super had texting or email. He speaks Spanish and since I don’t speak Spanish, there’s a communication barrier over the phone.
