Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant feedback for AVANATH COMMUNITIES shows a mix of experiences across their buildings. Positively, tenants commend friendly staff and well-maintained apartments with good amenities, noting strong pest control and satisfactory heating and water pressure. However, many raise significant concerns about management responsiveness, citing difficulties reaching leasing offices, slow or negligent handling of repairs, and inconsistent communication. Issues such as roach infestations, security concerns, elevator malfunctions, and maintenance delays have also been reported. Some tenants suggest better staff training, increased availability, improved communication, and organizational restructuring to adequately support large buildings. Overall, management effectiveness appears inconsistent, impacting tenant satisfaction despite generally good physical conditions.

Great building and neighborhood

Pros

Love the neighbors, neighborhood and management

Cons

Elevator can be slow

Former tenant·Over 1 year ago

Infestations, broken water boilers, security concerns

Pros

The location is great.

Cons

The building has continuous roach infestations that it is struggling to combat. Tenants regularly go hours or days without any hot water. On numerous occasions, homeless people have slept inside the lobby.

Advice to the owners

Staffing one community manager to a building with 304 units is an unsustainable organizational model. The entirety of the building needs to be fumigated, and all members of management need to be taught how to engage with tenants effectively.
