Convenient location with amazing views
Pros
Elevators move between floors rather quickly. The amenities are cool and open lat enough for you to use after work. The building seems to be kept rather clean. Views are amazing! Management seems to be responsive and most of front desk staff are kind and welcoming. Best place to be to if you receive packages often with both package room and cold storage available. Parking garage connected to the building was a lifesaver in the winter and during the morning rush!
Cons
There were many days where heat and hot water were an issue in the building.
Advice to the owners
The washer and dryer machines in the laundry room need to be maintained and cleaned regularly. The heat and hot water issue needs to be addressed.
Good "quasi-luxury" building
Pros
- overall reliable in terms of internet, electricity, heat, water, etc - gym has everything you need, despite being grungy - trash chute, laundry room, etc well maintained - no major appliance issues, although some neighbors got really frustrated this past winter with their heat not working or water being cut off for multiple hours each day
Cons
- occasional water issues - this will be less of a problem once rent stabilization ends this year, but they jack up your rent ~200 bucks a month using the 421a surcharge.
Advice to the owners
Be more reasonable regarding rent to tenants that stuck by your side amidst all of the building issues.
