Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews for buildings managed by Michael Levy reflect a generally well-maintained and clean environment with responsive and friendly front desk and maintenance staff. The properties offer nice amenities and a safe community feel, with well-kept interiors and good heating and water pressure. However, tenants frequently raise concerns about high and rapid rent increases, as well as the impact of shared spaces with Sonder—a short-term rental operator—resulting in noise, pest control challenges, and access issues. Communication and transparency regarding policies and fees, especially related to Sonder’s presence and amenity usage, are areas where management responsiveness could improve to better serve long-term residents.

Great apts to live in!

Pros

Front desk staff are great and attentive. The building was an office building before residential and has been around for a while, expect some mnt issues due to age, but staff is extremely responsive.

Cons

I don’t like that the building is shared with a hotel.

Advice to the owners

Get rid of sonder.
