Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews for buildings managed by Sean Abbott indicate a mixed experience. While some residents praise the location and amenities, many express dissatisfaction with management responsiveness and maintenance issues, particularly related to pest control. Complaints about cockroach infestations and mold in AC units are common, alongside reports of slow service when requesting repairs. Although some buildings maintain cleanliness and good garbage management, other tenants noted noise disturbances and outdated facilities. Overall, prospective renters should be prepared for varied management efficiency and potential challenges related to upkeep and pest management in these properties.

Roaches and Mold, bad management

Pros

The location is very good but make sure you are aware that it’s a noisy area. If the building management was good I would have given a positive review.

Cons

Please be aware the building has free workout classes where residents are encouraged to leave reviews to support the instructors, the instructors are great but their reviews are inflating the Google reviews for this building. The building maintenance is extremely slow and you must go in person repeatedly to the management office for them to fix anything. The main points of this review are cockroaches and mold in my apartment. The ac unit is covered in mold and the building has not properly cleaned or replaced it. Cockroach nymphs and adults appear frequently in the apartment despite multiple exterminator visits. I like the building and want to continue living here but these issues need to be addressed. Details: 10/02/2026: reported a persistent foul smell coming from the AC/heating unit 10/10/2026: Reported a large dead cockroach in the kitchen and suspected mold growth on the AC insulation. Sent photos and requested repairs 10/14/2026: Found several live cockroach nymphs near a closet. Maintenance lightly cleaned ac unit and mold is still present. 10/15/2026: Exterminator inspected the apartment, applied gel bait, placed traps, and recommended sealing entry points 10/16/2026: Found another cockroach nymph in the bathroom 10/26/2026: Found another live cockroach in a kitchen glue trap No sealing work has been completed by building maintenance. The AC still has mold and odor, and cockroaches continue to appear

Advice to the owners

I don't think any advice will help since they wont read it and do not care about residents.

moved out after 3 years

Pros

convenient - access to a ton of subway lines

Cons

Heat is pretty bad during the winter and I’m cold all the time. Had a bad roach problem in year 1 and 2, but did not see a single roach in the apartment for year 3.
