Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent reviews for buildings managed by Isaac Pultman reflect ongoing challenges with maintenance responsiveness and communication. Tenants frequently cite issues with aging infrastructure, including leaks and heating problems, compounded by slow or indifferent management reactions. Pest control and garbage management tend to be well handled, and the properties often benefit from quiet neighbors and decent water pressure. However, complaints about thin walls, inconsistent cleanliness, and an unhelpful super underscore tenant frustrations. While some appreciate the location and amenities, many feel the landlord lacks adequate support during critical situations, indicating room for improvement in tenant relations and timely repairs.

Not terrible not super great

Pros

-Concrete walls make for pretty great silencing of music etc -Theres cameras in the lobby where mail is dropped off so nothing goes missing -working elevator (but VERY small) -laundry in the basement (just a couple units but you rarely have to wait)

Cons

-Dirty building -floor to ceiling is thin in the sense of - if people are doing anything on the floor - even walking- youll hear it - recently with inconsiderate neighbors its been absolute hell -Super doesnt speak great english and makes repairs a pain to schedule (you have to be present and he comes when its good for him) -management can be a pain to communicate with or negotiate with -old building and apartments get flooded every few years - one time big sheets of plaster fell onto my floor, management wasnt responding, super wasnt taking action and i had to call the fire department. My apt was such a mess, I had to pack up most of my things so repairs could be made etc, I went and stayed somewhere else for that month and management barely acknowledged it as more than an inconvenience and BARELY took anything off of rent

Advice to the owners

Even the slightest support during covid would have been nice...or the slightest give in rent for lease renewal during the pandemic...

Major leaks in 1C

Pros

Location, common areas clean

Cons

I lived on the first floor in the back and would often be woken up by the rats. I’d have to keep my window open all winter because it was so hot and then a few times the heat would just turn off and it would be freezing. The super is mean and unresponsive.
