Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews of buildings managed by Sharone Baradarian reveal a mixed management experience. Many tenants praise the responsiveness of Sharone and the management team, appreciating renovated apartments, live-in supers, and relatively good maintenance. Buildings often have issues with cleanliness, pest control, garbage management, and water pressure, with some residents reporting persistent roach problems and package theft due to insecure mail areas. Noise levels can be high, and the neighborhood safety has been questioned. Several tenants warn of occasional landlord harassment and slow responses to serious repair needs. Overall, management shows willingness to address concerns, but improvements are needed in building upkeep and resident relations.

Reviews

Former tenant·4 months ago

a beautiful apartment

Pros

The apartment has beautiful high ceilings and is renovated with washer/dryer. The property manager is also very responsive and helpful.

Cons

Not great pest control and area does not feel safe

Slum Lord Vibes

Pros

Unit was spacious and had great light; apartment building location was convenient to subway and restaurants

Cons

Awful smell coming into the units from the subway restaurant on the floor level; the windows needed to be replaced or soundproofed, you could literally hear every single noise off the street and it's on a major road; landlords did not clean my apartment after the last tenant left, it was filthy when I moved in; water pressure in the bathroom was truly nonexistant and they wouldn't fix it or even allow a 3rd party plumber in to measure the water pressure; security measures in the foyer are a joke because even if they catch someone stealing your package (as they did with one of my packages, because there is no secure package room in the building) they refuse to publicize it to other tenants or to help you report it to police; the landlords make plenty of money but don't invest any of it into the building at all.

Advice to the owners

Put some of the money you make back into the building, beyond simply renovating units to jack up prices and get more rent.
