Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent reviews of buildings managed by 309 E 19TH ST LLC indicate a mixed living experience with many management shortcomings. Tenants appreciate spacious and updated apartments and friendly neighbors. However, persistent issues include poor heating, inadequate garbage management with unsanitary conditions, frequent pest problems, and aging building infrastructure. Numerous complaints mention slow or ineffective maintenance responses and concerns over safety related to blocked fire escapes. While some tenants commend the superintendent's efforts, overall management is criticized for neglecting urgent repairs and failing to uphold building standards. Prospective renters should expect discomfort and management challenges despite the affordable rent and decent apartment interiors.

Nice Apartments... Meh Building...

Pros

The newer units in the building have nice upgrades so when you are inside your apartment it feels good and comfortable. Recent super has been good. Attentive and decent job of trash take out. Neighbors in building are friendly and pleasant.

Cons

... the rest of the building can be better. The hallways and lobby feel old and outdated. A fresh coat of paint would do a great job of brightening the building. Still waiting on the laundry room that was promised upon moving in. Neutral on owner. A lot of noise and activity at neighboring buildings over last 2 years.

Advice to the owners

The lobby is a huge, maybe incorporating a bike rake for tenants would be helpful. Also partnering with Amazon for lockers would be great amenity. More focus on the building would be great.
