Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews of buildings managed by Daniel Kogan reveal a mixed experience. Positives include good locations, friendly neighbors, and included utilities. However, persistent issues such as pest infestations (notably roaches and mice), frequent water shut-offs, and poor maintenance are commonly reported. Management often receives criticism for slow and unresponsive communication, inadequate pest control efforts, and insufficient upkeep of common areas and appliances. Several buildings suffer from mold, water damage, and noise due to ongoing construction. While some tenants appreciate the quiet environment and safety, many advise improvements in responsiveness, pest eradication, and building repairs to enhance tenant satisfaction.

The location is great

Pros

This building has a wonderful location. Utilities being included is a major plus and makes rent reasonable.

Cons

I did not like how unresponsive the management team is.

Building management is unresponsive to tenant complaints

Pros

Unit when we first moved in seemed fine: renovated and well maintained. Nicely kept landscaping, newly built bike racks, pet-friendly units. Recent maintenance workers are great.

Cons

I’ve heard from long-time residents about the declining quality of life at Flagg Court while rent keeps going up. The main problem that most tenants in this building report is pests. We have a roach and potentially mice infestation, but the building exterminator claims they’ve never seen mice in this building. They have monthly extermination sign-up sheets, but the problem still persists. They need to do a full-scale, building-wide treatment. The laundry room is poorly maintained. Half of the machines are broken, the machines aren’t clean, and the room itself has leaking pipes that I suspect might be the source of the infestation. The building also shuts down the water on short notice, for long stretches of time; though there’s been less of this recently.
