Pros
Great location, Easy rent payment system, updated appliances, elevator building. In unit W/D.
Cons
Continued pests in the basement, things take a while to get fixed, rent increases are unpredictable. Communication hit or miss with property mgmt company. Frequent elevator malfunction.
Advice to the owners
Heed tenant complaints and fix things in timely fashion. Have back up or on call person for when property mngr is observing religous holidays.
Prime Location, Great Potential, Weak Management
Pros
This building is in a fantastic location in Harlem, close to multiple subway lines, bars, restaurants, buses, etc. The units are well-designed and very livable, and the neighbors in this building are incredibly sweet, thoughtful, and look out for each other.
Cons
Management has really failed this property. Rats in the basement, dubious security (lots and lots of package theft), failing building systems...I once didn't have a working shower for two weeks. This could really be a gem, but I feel like no one is paying attention to it. I would not move in here if I had to do it again.
Advice to the owners
This building needs attention. The super is hardly ever here and slow to respond. The basement is full of rats. C'mon, dude.
