Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant reviews for buildings managed by Robert Vaccarello reveal a mixed management experience. Some properties boast well-maintained, clean environments with attentive supers and responsive management, fostering positive community vibes and quiet, friendly neighbors. However, especially at 204 Huntington Street, tenants report significant issues such as poor heating, inconsistent garbage management, pest problems, malfunctioning intercoms, and noise from disruptive neighbors and children. Several renters criticize management's lack of responsiveness, inadequate communication, and ineffective handling of tenant behavior and building upkeep. Prospective renters should expect varied management quality across buildings, with some needing urgent attention to maintenance and tenant relations.

Don't be fooled

Pros

beautiful high ceilings, with large windows in all apartments.

Cons

Very poor heating, always too cold, building has a D energy rating. Water is dangerously hot for small children. Back yard is awful, often filled with trash bins because the workers use the trash area as an indoor parking lot and so garbage bins end up in back yard. Intercom simply does not work , often tenants have to go down to let visitors in. Awful communal laundry room, good machines but poop in machines is common. Building workers are nice but incompetent. Halls are ceramic tile, ugly and loud, replaced original carpet for ease of cleaning. Glacial hydraulic elevator , may be the slowest elevator on the planet.

Advice to the owners

Fix the heat.

Fine but overpriced

Pros

The building staff is great!

Cons

The building is outdated and over priced for what it is. laundry room is always out of order and there are not enough machines for the number of tenants in the building
