Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback for buildings managed by Mordechai Feigenblatt reveals generally well-maintained and clean properties, with responsive and kind management appreciated in several locations. Buildings tend to be conveniently situated near transit and amenities, and many feature monthly pest control and functional heating. However, some issues persist, including occasional unresponsiveness, slow maintenance on repairs, inadequate garbage management, and security concerns like package theft. Laundry facilities often require better upkeep, and certain apartments experience noise or unresolved minor plumbing concerns. Overall, tenants find these buildings livable with good neighborly environments but suggest improvements in timely communication and maintenance consistency to enhance resident satisfaction.

new building but not taken care of

Pros

new appliances. lots of natural light, huge windows. central A/C. bathtub and kitchen sink were extra deep. electric stove and built in microwave. rooftop access. pet friendly.

Cons

studio apartments are ridiculously small and overpriced. fridge started leaking within first month of living there. video intercom stopped working and no one was able to fix it. heat fixture in bathroom broke and almost started a fire. A/C had to be repaired multiple times. Had to replace the smoke detectors multiple times. Didn't have hot water for over 1 month, department of health had to come and do an inspection. after that, water was scalding hot for next 6 months. non-responsive management. super changed twice in the year I was there. garbage management is horrendous and department of sanitation was writing tickets every week. blood and feces on staircases/hallway walls for weeks on end. packages stolen constantly. laundry machines were never installed on the 4th floor even though it was advertised as having laundry on every floor. I would avoid at all costs.
