Great location, bad management

Pros

Great location (and that’s the only pro).

Cons

Apartments aren’t updated. If your lease says that you will take an apartment “as is” they truly mean it. They will not clean or paint between tenants so you better hope the people there before you are nice enough to do it. Otherwise you’re in for quite a shock come move-in day. There is no real super for the building. They have someone listed as the super but he will not answer his phone and the only way to get in touch with him is to contact management and they will relay the message eventually (if they feel like helping). Worst management company I’ve ever dealt with in the city. The woman who works at the front desk is extremely rude.

Advice to the owners

If you’re going to have a super they need to be at least somewhat responsive. Retrain your front desk staff. If you’re going to keep raising your prices the apartments have to be upgraded.

Good building, some cons

Pros

Location, affordability, respectful apt neighbors, average per unit size

Cons

Monthly pest issue (a few mouses and many roaches), thin walls, neighboring 2 shelters, management is not easy going and sometimes back and forth to resolve issues
