Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews for buildings managed by Dora Shore depict a mixed management experience. While some appreciate the generally clean buildings, responsive superintendents, and convenient locations in vibrant neighborhoods like East Village and the Lower East Side, others report pest issues (mice, roaches), occasional mold, and thin walls leading to noise concerns. Garbage management is mostly effective but can have trouble spots. Heating responsiveness varies, with some complaints about inadequate or delayed heating. Communication from management is generally positive but inconsistent, with occasional slow or poor responses. Security and package theft have been noted concerns, alongside maintenance delays in some buildings. Overall, tenants find the locations desirable but suggest improvements in pest control, heating, and responsiveness to elevate living conditions.

Great spot to live

Pros

Building is quiet, lots of very long term tenants.

Cons

Have had some bug and mouse issues, but nothing super out of the ordinary

Former tenant·4 minutes ago

A lovely 2B in the heart of EV

Pros

Lovely spacing, lots of light from the street facing unit, responsive super (except on weekends),

Cons

The stairs are a pain if you live on the 4th floor and above, occasional insect (but no mice), noise from Keyfood can be loud at times, laundry room can be a bit pricey.

Advice to the owners

Maybe update the buzzer to a electronic doorman.
