Poorly Maintained Building

Pros:
nice location, friendly neighborhood
Cons:
building is rundown, most of the outlets don't work, it gets incredibly humid and moldy everywhere, broken rusty fire escape, inconsistent heating in the building, noisy street with lots of metal/construction sounds daily and air pollution

Location. that's it.
Cons:
Building is in complete disrepair. My unit was not move in ready in any way. No running water and more than half the lights in the unit did not work. Half outlets broken. No patching or painting or repairs done before my lease term started. I hear promises on one thing and then what actually happens is another. Also I was notified of bedbugs in the building on the day my lease started.

Sewage Ceiling Leak

Cons:
The sewage pipe above my bedroom leaked twice... and it was like the splash mountain type of leak. Took a while to get ahold of the landlord and he didn’t seem to care about either incident to get a proper plumber. Didn’t get discounted rent because it transpired in the last month of my lease that was already paid for. Didn’t pay for me to stay anywhere else either.
Advice to owner:
Fix your building properly and show more respect for your tenants.

So many roaches

So many German cockroaches, was left without an oven for over a month, had mice at one point, dirty neighbors.
