Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent renter feedback for buildings managed by ANH DO consistently points to poor management and maintenance issues. Tenants report unclean conditions upon move-in, persistent pest problems, and unreliable heating systems requiring supplemental heaters. Garbage management and noise levels often fall short, with complaints about broken security features and lack of building oversight. The landlord's responsiveness is generally described as slow or non-existent, with frustration expressed over withheld security deposits and inadequate repair quality. Although neighborhoods are appreciated and some staff like supers are praised, the prevailing sentiment advises caution, highlighting significant management shortcomings that negatively impact tenant experience.

Former tenant·6 minutes ago

Would not recommend

Pros

Next to fire station

Cons

Upon receiving the keys for the first time the toilet was used and not flushed, dirty water from all the pipes and the shower clogged, AC was on 60 but felt like 80. Horrible urine smell in the hallway that seeps into the rooms. Dried cement and paint on the windows and floors. Nothing was cleaned and we were promised new appliances but most if not everything is used. No cameras in the hallways, walls need to be repainted and fire sign is broken. The realtor acted like he didn't know the owner changed the keys to ensure we did not get to view the apartment before giving the first check. When we have complaints, we have to go through the landlord's agent who will take responsibility for nothing.

Too many issues for the price point

Pros

monthly pest control - spray and glue traps if you ask allows pets new appliances

Cons

Unresponsive building management and supers that leave after a few months Little to no notice when the water gets shut off, and the same is true with construction being done in the building (units get renovated poorly after a tenant leaves, jacking up the price for the next one) Broken virtual doorman for months, so many stolen packages It took several hours for someone to check on a heavy leak, and when they did get around to it days later, they just caulked it over.
