Management is extremely dysfunctional
Former Tenant
Pros:
Doormen are nice, rent is relatively reasonable for Manhattan, elevator always worked
Cons:
The building is run by absolute morons. No organization, extremely strict on bizarre rules, generally very disorganized.
Advice to owner:
It’s time to enter the 21st century

Only one elevator, management won’t answer your calls, had rats that we had to argue with management to get them to do anything about

Overall experience was decent, minus the pest issues. Got a good price for size
Former Tenant
Pros:
Was fortunate to get a room with decent lighting, the walls were pretty thick so didn’t have issues with sound leaking in next door, only from the hallway since the doors were thin. Floor plan for the studio was nice, kitchen and bathroom were separate spaces from the main room and was recessed, so there was separation even from the entrance.
Cons:
Building was a bit old, the radiator got noisy sometimes. Kitchen was too small, and bathroom didn’t have very good air ventilation (easy to have mold and mildew). Biggest problem was pests, had roaches every once in a while, and towards the end a clear rodent issue. Multiple sightings, this was the most upsetting issue.
Advice to owner:
Take care of pest issues, hire services to regularly come in and do work since this is a known problem, and check in regularly with tenants.
