Ongoing issues with building

Pros

Great windows and light.

Cons

Can’t do long term lease. Huge rent hikes. Ongoing elevator issues. AC issues. Hot water issues (for some of building—lower floors) personally I have brown water. Make you pay for amenities that are sub-par.

Building requires investment + it’s not happening

Pros

Nice floor plans, large rooms, good views, courteous staff

Cons

Building is a disaster. Heat does not work in the winter. Apartments are scorching hot (>80 degrees) in the summer with AC on high. At least one elevator out of service at a time, sometimes 2 of the 3. Management unresponsive and overwhelmed by the magnitude of tenant complaints.

Advice to the owners

Invest appropriately in the building so that basic needs (heat/AC/hot water/elevators) are met.
