Review Summary for Eulogio Roman
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant reviews of buildings managed by Eulogio Roman reveal a mixed experience. While some tenants appreciate the spacious lofts, artist community, and rooftop access, there are concerns about pest control issues, noisy neighbors, poor management responsiveness, and unethical practices such as illegal conversions and rent increases. Tenants have highlighted issues like pests, noise disturbances, construction quality, and rent affordability. Communication with the super has been challenging for some, leading to delayed resolutions. Despite some positives, there is a general sentiment of dissatisfaction regarding the management's conduct and building upkeep.

Fun for in your 20s
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great area, friendly neighbors lots of square ft in comparison to NYC. Access to the roof space is a plus.
Cons:
Cockroach issues had to have frequent visits from pest control. Super is hard to contact but eventually will help after multiple times contacting

Fun building with good neighbors
Former Tenant
Pros:
Great neighbors, loft-style apartments, great for artists looking for a live/work situation. The landlord lets you do whatever you want to your apartment, lots of neighbors have really cool buildouts.
Cons:
The floors in our apartment are super uneven concrete and impossible to keep clean, and the rent is skyrocketing in this building. We got lucky with a lease takeover but the other apartments I've seen in this building are absurdly expensive now. Also, the shared laundry machines run on an app, but there is no service in the laundry room and you have to run the machines from there. It is super frustrating.

Beautiful rooftop and artist community
Former Tenant
Pros:
Artist community haven
Cons:
Management employs unethical business practices, Harasses tenants, trying to evict tenants despite Covid downturn, illegally converts units without permits, sends nonpayments to collection agencies despite Covid 19
Advice to owner:
Please do not harass tenants, file lawsuits, or send nonpayments due to covid-19 to collection agencies.

pests and noise
Former Tenant
Pros:

Management are Crooks.
Former Tenant
Pros:
The neighbors are amazing, mostly. Many artists, musicians, dancers, and creatives, etc living here. Pretty tight knit community, mostly self managed. Tall ceilings, interesting interior layouts. Fantastic roof.
Cons:
Some of the “creatives” are really really loud and inconsiderate of other people. The walls are very thin. There are bugs and rodents. Tenants often smoke in the hallway and it’s disgusting. The live/work lofts used to be very open and large, but now management has decided to turn as many of them into 3-4 bdrm apts as possible to jack up the rent. Rent is too damn high, No longer under market rate. more difficult to do much “work” in the live/work space when there’s no more space. The management are crooks, shady. Look up all the lawsuits they’re involved in with the tenants. Insane.
Advice to owner:
Update the appliances, insulate the walls. Stop building so many bedrooms in the once amazing and open spaces.
