Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant feedback for buildings managed by Joe Hakimian presents a mixed picture of management quality. Positive remarks frequently cite clean, well-maintained buildings with friendly doormen and helpful, attentive superintendents, particularly at 220 East 24 Street. Tenants appreciate safe, quiet environments and responsiveness from onsite staff. However, management responsiveness is inconsistent; properties like 227 Mulberry Street and 184 Lexington Avenue suffer from poor communication, slow issue resolution, and pest problems, especially rodents and cockroaches. Complaints include outdated infrastructure, maintenance delays, noise, and unprofessional behavior from some staff. Overall, management appears stronger at select properties but tenants should expect variable experiences with building upkeep and responsiveness across the portfolio.

Okay place 6/10

Pros

Location, doormen were sweet, reliable super

Cons

Was honestly a pretty good place to stay until I got roaches for the last two months

Location is fantastic, great spot

Pros

- very great location, short walk from everything, 4/5/6 - super is super great and very helpful - doorman and all staff is so nice - unfinished rooftop but great view - in building WiFi

Cons

- can be slightly loud on lower floors at times, but I honestly dont think it’s that bad - lofts can be an issue with sound with roommates - the walls aren’t super thin, but some noise can be heard
