Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews for buildings managed by Tom Rosenberg reveal a stark contrast between properties. Buildings like 321 Wythe Avenue in Brooklyn are praised for cleanliness, modern amenities, responsive management, and well-kept common areas, though occasional issues like broken elevators and noisy neighbors are noted. However, the Queens properties, particularly 1625 Putnam Avenue, receive frequent criticism for pest infestations, poor maintenance, unresponsive and sometimes uncooperative management, safety concerns, and problematic tenant behavior. Residents repeatedly mention slow or inadequate pest control, inconsistent heating, package theft, and noisy, youthful tenant populations. While some improvements and good management instances exist, the general tenant experience in Queens is mixed to negative, suggesting the landlord should focus on better pest control, maintenance responsiveness, and tenant management to enhance living conditions.

Lovely building, great maintenance and excellent amenities

Pros

- Great amenities that are always well-kept - People are friendly, with plenty of dogs in the building - Equi-distant from L and J subways - Great location, tons of bars/restuarants/cute coffee shops nearby

Cons

- Apartments are small for the price you're paying - No pool

Meh at best

Pros

Gym and Laundry in building.

Cons

Owners are unresponsive and predatory in their business tactics. The whole block has a pretty bad rat infestation. There have been 2 fires in the building in the last 3 years. Nothing is ever maintained and management is apathetic at best. Have an issue on a Saturday? Good luck getting through to them. They're Orthodox folks and don't have anyone to answer the line on Saturdays when they're unable to work.

Advice to the owners

Send monthly exterminators like your SUPPOSED to. Maintain and upgrade appliances, do better inspections to ensure no issues for tenants.
