Overpriced and Abysmal Management
Pros
The units are (mostly) very spacious and have high ceilings. It's nearby a lot of nightlife too if that's what you're into (although if it's not, it will probably be a LOT for you).
Cons
- Management ghosts tenant complaints. When they do finally come to fix things, they often to a shoddy repair job and leave your space dirty. - Many units did not have heating for the first couple months of winter. - Pests. While I did not have an issue beyond what is normal for Brooklyn (several mice over a few years time as well as a few roaches per year), I had neighbors who had very large rats enter their apartments. - Construction workers leave the hallways dirty and filled with dust from their work. Definitely not safe for the air quality. - Shower was not properly constructed so that water can drain. Thus, mold growth is impossible to avoid.
Advice to the owners
Maybe charge like half of the rent that you do, and even then I'm not sure if it's worth living here.
