Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback for Diego Rivera-managed buildings highlights a mixed management experience. While the properties offer good locations, cleanliness, and a quiet environment appreciated by students and residents, there are notable issues concerning management responsiveness and tenant privacy. Some reviews commend helpful supers and overall building upkeep, yet others criticize slow maintenance responses and intrusive, unscheduled apartment entries by staff. Heating systems can be difficult to regulate, and occasional cleanliness lapses occur due to tenant behavior. Although many tenants recommend these buildings for their amenities and neighborhood, improvements in respectful communication and maintenance timeliness would enhance the rental experience under this management.

Great for Students

Pros

The building is clean, the super is helpful. The living room for all ‘F’ apartments is huge and the kitchen has plenty of storage and counter space. The rooms are decently sized and it comes furnished as it is university housing.

Cons

The bathroom does not have a bathtub. There is no dishwasher or in-unit laundry in the apartment. The laundry is in the basement and there are times all the machines are occupied. The inner bedrooms do not get any sunlight and with just one window, it’s not possible to open it if there’s an air conditioner attached. The heating can get extreme during the winters and there’s no regulator for it.

Advice to the owners

Try to give tenants any way to control the heating in the rooms. The rooms are boiling during the winter.
