Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for 225 East 63 Street commend the building's prime Manhattan location, spacious apartments, and friendly, helpful staff—especially the doormen and porters. Amenities like a rooftop and laundry on-site are appreciated. However, renters widely report severe pest infestations (mice and cockroaches) and ineffective management responses. Recurring issues include heating and A/C malfunctions, outdated facilities, ongoing construction noise, and poor garbage management. Many mention frequent management changes and poor communication, which exacerbates maintenance delays. Despite these challenges, some tenants still find the building appealing due to its size and staff, though overall caution is advised for prospective renters.

Former Tenant
Pros:
The building staff are fantastic. The doormen and porters are incredibly kind and helpful and make a real effort to know the residents.
Cons:
Constant and ongoing construction as the new owners are converting all studios to one bedrooms when they become available. There is a rodent problem and heat and air conditioning go out often because of pipes bursting. Management company is difficult to get ahold of.
