Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for 325 East 83 Street highlight spacious, updated apartments with desirable in-unit features like dishwashers and washers/dryers. Residents appreciate quiet surroundings and friendly neighbors. However, persistent issues with management responsiveness and building maintenance are a common concern, including unresolved appliance repairs and security door problems. Garbage disposal is sometimes poorly managed, leading to unsightly buildup. Most critically, multiple reports mention significant pest infestations, particularly rodents, which have been inadequately addressed by management. While the location and unit quality are praised, ongoing management and pest control shortcomings detract from the overall living experience, cautioning potential renters.

Fine building, horrible management
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice building and updated apartments. Dishwasher & washer / dryer in unit which is great when it works.
Cons:
Management is unresponsive and will leave issues unresolved for as long as they can get away with. Broken appliances, leaks.

Rat and Roach Infested Building
Former Tenant
Pros:
Nice apartment upgrades and washer/dryer in unit
Cons:
The building has a rat infestation! RUN. I reported multiple complaints with the management company only for them to deny there was a problem. I filled a complain with 311. The building inspector that came out told me this building has been a problem for a long time! Do yourself a favor, avoid this place!
