Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for 408 West 130 Street note its desirable location near St. Nicholas Park, rent stabilization, and spacious units with nice views. Tenants appreciate the quiet environment and friendly neighbors. However, common issues include poor management responsiveness, unresolved pest problems (notably bed bugs and roaches), inconsistent heat and water pressure, and frequent package theft. The maintenance team is often unresponsive, and several tenants report neglect during urgent situations. While the building has some appealing features, persistent management and pest control shortcomings significantly impact the living experience, making it a challenging choice for those prioritizing reliable upkeep and tenant support.

Great until you run into any issues
Former Tenant
Pros:
Elevator (relatively small but gets the job done) Laundry in basement (only available during certain hours) Nice lobby area Decently sized units GREAT views if you're high up enough
Cons:
The supers I knew were pretty unresponsive, even during more urgent situations. Never actually saw a single super once. Management is basically nonexistent and impossible to reach. Couldn't even get a reliable response while trying to figure out how to give them money for something. Management refused to uphold their legal obligations during a bed bug infestation
