Review Summary for 400 W 37 St
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent reviews for 400 W 37 St emphasize the building's cleanliness, responsive management, and friendly staff, including helpful doormen. The apartments offer good layouts with modern fixtures, strong heating, and reliable water pressure. Residents appreciate in-building laundry facilities and proximity to key transit hubs like PABT and Penn Station. However, noise is a frequent concern due to the building's location near the Lincoln Tunnel and 9th Avenue traffic, with sirens and honking common during rush hours. Some mention occasional pest issues and neighbors' noise. While management generally responds well, a few renters report dissatisfaction with maintenance timeliness and apartment quality. Overall, it remains a solid option in a central, transit-friendly area.

Decent building shitty neighborhood
Former Tenant
Pros:
Rent was cheaper than most of the other buildings in the area. Management is responsive and you can negotiate your rent a little bit.
Cons:
it’s right above Lincoln tunnel so you hear a lot of traffic noise
