Good apartment, meh building

Pros

Our apartment got a ton of natural light, and it was great having laundry in the building (even though you have to exit the building to access). The roof is amazing. Management and maintenance is efficient and quick to resolve problems.

Cons

Heat/Hot water is NOT included and is NOT connected to electric, contrary to what the broker and the management company informed us upon signing the lease. Management companies switched during our lease, and new management is pushy and do not seem to care that much about the happiness of their tenants. Trash situation outside is abysmal. Laundry machines are broken frequently.

Decent apartment to share with your friends.

Pros

Superintendent is really responsive, great at resolving issues, and super nice and friendly. He literally made up for a lot of issues with the building.

Cons

The stove and fridge were tiny and hard to fit groceries for 3 people. Only one washer/dryer in the building which led to a lot of waiting. Packages stolen a handful of times.
