good apartment experience
Pros
nice rooms! nice laundry! nice appliances! nice rooftop!
Cons
the only thing i'll say is management is not responsive on weekends and jewish holidays, and even then can be hard to reach if maintenance issues after hours
Great building, occasional missing packages
Pros
It’s a nice modern building with a fairly responsive management. They go on vacations a lot but if you submit a complaint and then call while they’re there you’ll get a response pretty quick. It’s also really close to the M stop. The train is right outside but it’s not close enough to a bend or a stop to where you’d hear the screeching sound it makes. Plus, the thick walls and triple layered class helps. Also there’s 4 separate W/D in the basement so rarely will you ever not be able to not do your laundry.
Cons
Rats will get into the walls, die, and then just get stuck there. This is only a direct problem if you live on the first floor close to the street. The main issue for everyone else is that the stairways can sometimes have a pretty gross smell. Packages go missing. It’s definitely the other tenants. I’ve lost a package only to find the box in the recycling a week later. Not a constant problem but I’d try to get things delivered in blank packaging. Some tenants are hit or miss. Some are amazing and super friendly. Some give off the vibe they just moved from San Francisco and can’t believe you’d dare to make noise in THEIR apartment building. It’s not really a big deal but something to consider.
Advice to the owners
Take package theft more seriously
