Not Worth the Price
Pros
-Proximity to the train -Backyard space -Lots of room -Proximity to good eats
Cons
-Laundry room broken -Buildings dealing with massive leaks and a broken front door -Neighbors are racist, abusing drugs, and are loud and move furniture all hours of the day and night -Heat isn’t funneling in properly at all times. -Landlord doesn’t respond and will openly cheap out on services needed.
Advice to the owners
You are better off finding another place. The price is not worth the hassle, despite the cleaning people and the people on the 3rd floor being phenomenal.
Loud, Dirty, and Selfish owner
Pros
Large living room, equally sized bedrooms, easy access to Wilson L and JZ
Cons
Intrusive noise from neighborhood, extremely loud music, dice games, especially in the summer. The closest grocery store is near Myrtle Wyckoff,. Apartment was incredibly dirty when we moved in, with leftover furniture we had to throw out ourselves. Big bug problems in the winter that were never remedied. The sideyard was insanely dirty. Building hallways were always dirty, washer and dryer in basement were shitty, frequently leaked and had to run at least two drying cycles. Greg the owner was timely with fixing things if he wasn’t away on vacation. He increased our rent in the middle of the pandemic, saying that we’d be back to work in a week, meanwhile he’s on his third vacation of 2020. Any remaining goodwill we had we with him went out the window when he charged us a $400 cleaning fee when we moved out, despite the fact we had a cleaning service come in prior to us leaving and the entire apartment was spotless. I am a property owner myself and have never and would never treat any tenant so selfishly.

Don’t fuck over good tenants
