Best people, small
Pros
The front staff and the super and custodial staff are absolute gems. Whoever is hiring them has a great eye. They are the best part of living here. The building is brand new, really clean, and conveniently located. The amenities are great, the gym is huge and the classes are fantastic. Nice finishes in the apartment.
Cons
The walls are thin and the glass is not very soundproof, which is tough in an area with CONSTANT construction. The units are also very small. The appliances aren't the best (ventless dyer has a learning curve, dishwasher is kind of wierd). The management is not very responsive and you have to repeatedly email to get a response. One of the worst accountants I've ever seen - constant miscalculation on small things like fees. Weird forced air system - smells from other apartments (including smoke smell when people smoke in their units even though that is not allowed).
‘Luxury’ that’s not quite luxurious
Pros
Staff that are in building are wonderful. Amenity spaces are nice but perhaps not large enough for the size of the building. Some units have very few issues and we were lucky to get one of those
Cons
Switching entire building between heat and ac so units cannot control their own temp is ridiculous in a building this large where higher floors/south or southwest facing units are getting blasted by sun
Advice to the owners
Respond to tenants quickly and stop relying on gimmicky new tech solutions for issues
