Review Summary for 136-16 222 St
Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on openigloo.
Recent tenant reviews of 136-16 222 St highlight significant pest infestations, especially rodents, with reports of feces inside apartments and vermin running through trash areas. While the building offers some parking availability and is located near transit, its aging infrastructure suffers from ongoing maintenance issues, such as ceiling cracks and outdated appliances. Noise levels can be high due to thin walls and loud neighbors. Management responsiveness is consistently criticized as poor, with delayed or incomplete repairs. Tenants urge better pest control, building renovations, improved security measures, and more attentive management to enhance living conditions in this otherwise affordable but challenging property.

Stay Far away
Former Tenant
Pros:
You can usually find parking. Not too far from LIRR
Cons:
Management is unresponsive and dismissive. Repairs are done only if they are minor. The building is old and not kept up to date, but will raise the rent as if they upgrade. There are vermin and you can hear everything through these thin walls.
*UPDATE*
It has been 6 months waitng on repairs!!!! Unresponsive to emails and calls. 311 activated and no movement. Please don't rent here unless it is your last resort. They leave you no choice but to litigate.
Advice to owner:
Try to retain renter that pay their rent on time and cause no issues. You treat all of you tenants as if they are living for free. Horrible business acumen!

Pros:
Great super, made it worth the trouble living there.
Cons:
There is an open field next to the building so you can imagine the mice and rats running around this property. Had to get out ASAP.
Advice to owner:
Renovate the building, add a laundry room and hire more staff to support the super and do more exterminations!!
