What does “recommended by renters near the B15 bus” mean on this page?

It groups Crown Heights buildings where renters indicated the building as worth considering, and the building is positioned for the B15 bus area so you can focus your search around that commute corridor.

How many buildings are eligible right now?

There are 40+ eligible buildings in Crown Heights on this page as of 2026-07-07.

Do renter recommendations replace touring or contacting the building?

No. Treat recommendations as a starting point. Confirm details that affect your decision directly with the building or management (policies, fees, and any practical requirements for move-in).

What should I double-check before signing a lease for a building on this list?

Confirm the lease terms and your move-in logistics, review any fee/deposit amounts, and verify what’s included in your full monthly cost (utilities and any recurring charges). Also ask about building operations that impact daily life (maintenance response, noise handling, and essential services).

The page shows a neighborhood rating—how should I use it?

Use the Crown Heights rating as a rough context signal, not a substitute for building-specific review. Read the comments that match your concerns and compare rated-building data across the buildings you’re considering.

Are these counts for a specific building type or one building size?

No—this page is a scope-based shortlist within Crown Heights and the B15 commute area. Building types can vary, so open each building page to compare what applies to you.

What to check before choosing a building recommended by renters near the B15 bus in Crown Heights

Use this as a shortlist: open each building’s page to confirm the B15 commute angle (walk time, transfers, and whether the route timing fits your schedule).
Compare tenant signal quality by looking at the rated-building score plus how many rated buildings it comes from, not just one datapoint.
Before applying, verify your own constraints in writing: lease start date flexibility, any move-in requirements, and what’s included for the full monthly cost (fees, deposit, utilities).
If you see any “recommended by renters” badges, still read the specific comments tied to your priorities (noise, maintenance responsiveness, heat/hot water reliability).
Make sure advertised availability matches your timing by using Openigloo’s current availability on each building page where it appears.
