What to check before choosing a building highly rated for water pressure near the B45 bus in Downtown Brooklyn
- Shortlist buildings marked as strong for water pressure, then test in-person: run hot and cold water in the sink and shower at similar times of day.
- Confirm how the landlord handles pressure complaints (work orders, recent plumbing updates, and whether the unit has older fixtures).
- Ask whether pressure varies by floor or wing, especially if the building has older plumbing or multiple risers.
- Check fees tied to unit utilities or upgrades: ask what the renter pays for utilities and whether any recent work affects monthly costs.
- If a doorman/maintenance contact is available, request a maintenance follow-up before signing so you’re not relying only on building-wide averages.
