What does “most-responsive-owners” mean on Openigloo?

It’s a filter that ranks buildings based on renter feedback about owner responsiveness. Use it as a shortlist, then confirm the details directly with the building for your specific situation.

How are these buildings grouped on this page?

They’re scoped to Stuyvesant Heights in Brooklyn and targeted to the area near the B38 bus, then narrowed to the owner-responsiveness focus.

Are these buildings necessarily “always available” for move-in?

No. A building being in the top responsiveness group doesn’t guarantee current availability. Check what’s advertised and ask the building about timing for your dates.

What should I ask the owner or management team before applying?

Ask about how maintenance requests are logged, expected timelines, and who you contact for urgent issues. Also ask how they communicate updates after you submit a request.

Can I rely on Openigloo’s ratings alone to choose a building?

Use them as a starting point. Owner responsiveness is a useful signal, but lease terms, maintenance scope, and unit-level conditions can still differ—confirm them with the building.

Which neighborhoods are trending in this scope, and how many buildings are showing right now?

Bushwick with 12,589+ buildings; Downtown Brooklyn with 3,920+ buildings; Flatbush with 5,564+ buildings; Park Slope with 7,025+ buildings; Clinton Hill with 4,040+ buildings.

What if my experience doesn’t match the owner-responsiveness filter?

That can happen. The filter reflects patterns from renter-reported signals, but your interaction depends on timing, staff coverage, and your request type. Follow up in writing and document responses if you’re comparing options.
