What does “best-heat” mean on this Williamsburg buildings page?

It’s a filter that surfaces buildings with stronger heat-related signals based on Openigloo’s collected renter input and related building information. Still, heat quality can vary by unit, floor, and exposure, so confirm details with the building.

How does the “Q59-bus” filter work for this search?

The “Q59-bus” component narrows results to buildings near the Q59 bus corridor. Use it alongside heat signals so you can optimize for both access and building-condition signals.

Are these buildings guaranteed to have good heat in every apartment?

No. Filters help you shortlist higher-signal buildings, but the actual experience can differ by unit layout, radiator condition, and building maintenance. Ask the building directly about heat performance for the exact apartment you’re considering.

What should I ask the super or leasing office before signing?

Ask how heat is controlled for the unit, what the building does when heat complaints come in, and how they document/resolve heat issues. Also ask for recent practices during the coldest months, not just general policy.

How should I use the building rating on Openigloo?

Use the rating and the count of rated buildings as a starting point, then read several renter comments to see patterns. A consistent theme in multiple responses is more useful than a single positive mention.

Which neighborhoods are trending right now in this scope?

Bushwick with 12,589+ buildings; Downtown Brooklyn with 3,920+ buildings; Stuyvesant Heights with 7,834+ buildings; Flatbush with 5,564+ buildings; Park Slope with 7,025+ buildings.
