What to check before choosing a building recommended by renters near the M5 bus in Hudson Heights

Confirm the exact stop or cross-streets you’ll rely on for the M5 route, since “near the bus” can still mean different walking times.
Check building-level details (laundry, elevator access, package handling, and utilities setup) and match them to your daily routine, not just the commute.
Use the “recommended-by-renters” signal to compare patterns across buildings, then read the specific Q&A threads for context.
If a unit is newly listed, double-check lease terms, move-in dates, and the total monthly cost (fees, deposits, and any required charges) beyond the advertised rent.
Verify any building policies that affect your move, such as entry procedures, guest rules, and pet or smoking terms if they apply.
