What does “best-heat” mean on this buildings page?

It’s an Openigloo filter that narrows the building set to those with signals tied to heat performance. Still, heat can vary by unit, so confirm the details directly with the building before signing.

How does the “M60-SBS bus” filter work here?

This page pairs the heat filter with buildings near the M60-SBS bus corridor on the Upper West Side, so your commute access is considered alongside heat signals.

Is a high rating the same as having heat issues-free apartments?

No. A building can have a strong overall score while still having occasional heating complaints. Treat the rating as a filter, then read the specific comments and ask targeted questions about response times and maintenance follow-through.

What should I ask the super or leasing office about heat?

Ask what happens when heat is below standard, how quickly repairs are scheduled, whether there are common problem areas in certain units, and whether anything in the specific apartment affects heat delivery.

Do fees and other costs matter even if the filter targets heat?

Yes. Heat quality doesn’t change move-in totals. Ask for a full breakdown of broker fee, security deposit, and any utilities the tenant is responsible for.

Where do Openigloo signals come from?

Openigloo aggregates renter-first notes and building-page signals that help you compare options faster. Use them to narrow the search, but get written confirmation from the building for anything important to your lease decision.
