Beware - Terrible Management!!!!
Pros
410 Lexington Ave are rent stabilized apartments
Cons
Management rarely responded to our maintenance requests. They promised our main door and sink cabinet to be replaced - they never did it after 1.5 years. We spent the first months of our lease with a door that couldn't be locked or opened from outside. We spent 5 months without a lease because they never wrote back after asking for a pet rider. I don't think they care about 410 Lexington because we are rent stabilized so they can't get all of our money. Apparently 420 (not stabilized apartments) have no problems at all. Terrible. Would not recommend for a second. Update: They stole our security deposit even though we cleaned and repaired all the walls before moving out. Our neighbors also got their security deposit stolen. Landlords are scum, and these are one of the worst.
Advice to the owners
Treat all your tenants with the same respect and attention you do to 420 residents. Stop discriminating and provide the services we pay you for.
Decent location, awful management, aging facilities
Pros
Nice location in prime Bedstuy, gym in the basement is nice to have in winter, apartments have a lot of light.
Cons
On moving day, I arrived to a top floor apartment with a hole in the ceiling that had not been there when I viewed the place three weeks earlier. Construction was left unfinished and I lived for 6 fall/winter months with leaking ceiling in the kitchen and living room. Constant insect infestations from day 1 (even in fall and winter). The oven never worked and temperature markings had rubbed off but not allowed to replace. HVAC units full of a black powder that went all over the walls, I had to pressure for a mold check and cleaning. Shared spaces like the lounge are a joke, usually trashed and stained with no internet. Thin walls with neighbors, could even hear in the bedroom when the toilet flushes next door. Neighbors with adjacent balcony partied and used heavy drugs all hours of the day, building did nothing despite repeated complaints and admissions that they know all about the situation. To top it off, when I moved out I was charged hundreds of dollars for “significant damage” from a few picture hook holes in the bedroom. They still moved the new tenants in the very next day. Maybe the building was nice when first opened but it’s poorly maintained and no amount of perfumed air spray in the lobby can mask that. Building management is a joke.
Advice to the owners
Stop taking short cuts to structural problems with your building
