Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews for buildings managed by Jacob Schwimmer reveal mixed experiences. Positives include responsive maintenance teams, clean and spacious apartments with utilities often included, and friendly neighbors in some locations. However, common issues persist such as pest infestations (particularly roaches), noise disturbances from neighbors and nearby highways, and concerns about lax building security which impacts residents' sense of safety. Garbage management is inconsistent and elevator service can be inadequate. Some tenants note delays or unresponsiveness from management, with suggestions to improve communication, pest control, and security staffing. Overall, management shows effort but faces challenges in maintaining building cleanliness and tenant satisfaction.

Solid place to live

Pros

- the repair team does a good job - the apartment is clean, I haven't seen any pests - its just a good apartment

Cons

- sometimes you have to argue a little to get maintenance to take you seriously - recycling system is poor - security system not super strong, anyone can come in and packages are stolen

Thankful for rent stabilization

Pros

Tallest buildings in all of northern Manhattan, great views, balconies, all utilities included.

Cons

Neighborhood a bit loud, porters/management like to hog one of the three elevators during the day which means only 2 are available for all the rest of everybody until they decided they are “done” with needing to completely bogart the one elevator all day
