Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant feedback for buildings managed by Fred Shalom paints a mixed picture. While some buildings benefit from clean common areas, respectable neighbors, and spacious apartments with good water pressure and heating, there are widespread reports of poorly managed garbage, pest infestations, heating problems, and unresponsive or rude management and superintendents. Several buildings suffer from prolonged scaffolding, noise disturbances, and lack of timely maintenance or repairs. Communication and responsiveness from management are frequently criticized, with some tenants advising more proactive and humane engagement. Prospective renters should expect inconsistent upkeep and management that often fails to address tenant concerns promptly.

Dirty scaffolding for 5 years with no construction

Pros

Location; heat; water

Cons

Terrible management.they installed this scaffolding five years ago and it’s still up, with loud noises and garbage every day. Huge dogs, and each neighbor has three to four dogs. I can’t wait to move out by February 1.
