Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback on buildings managed by Chris Lukacs reflects a mixed management approach. While many appreciate prompt responsiveness, pest control efforts, and clean, updated apartment features, others report inconsistent maintenance, pest infestations, and unprofessional or hostile responses from management. Some tenants mention security concerns, particularly regarding package theft, and occasional issues with heating and infrastructure. Communication quality varies significantly, with some praising helpful staff and others criticizing neglect or dismissive attitudes. Overall, renters should expect well-maintained interiors and generally responsive management but be prepared for occasional challenges in pest control, maintenance timeliness, and tenant relations.

Great apt with some caveats

Pros

Beautiful redone interiors in apartment generally affordable pest control comes in regularly New super keeps everything pristine The neatest garbage area of any aprtment I've ever lived in a really neighborhood, everyone says hi esp in the summer when everyone is outside. But the outside noise almost never trickles inside the building

Cons

crazy package theft issue. almost everything is at risk. when escalated to management was given a weird and somewhat hostile response, that has made me too uncomfortable to ever reach out again. I've heard from others in the building that this rude and hositle additude is common

Advice to the owners

less hostile responses to issues outside of your control.

A nice building!!

Pros

Overall, a very responsive and helpful super/landlord. Updated rooms and appliances. We had an issue with laundry and it was fixed beyond our expectation right when we moved in.

Cons

Windows are bad - very drafty but that’s apartment living tbh. I did have to bug spray multiple times when the seasons changed, but it may just be the apartment level we’re at. Really high electric bills though.
