Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews for AMY ROSE-managed buildings consistently praise the friendly and attentive doormen and building staff, highlighting their helpfulness and security. The buildings typically have clean common areas and responsive maintenance for many issues. However, renters frequently cite challenges with management responsiveness, especially regarding lease renewals and communication, with some describing unaddressed concerns and feeling undervalued. Rent increases are a common complaint, with tenants noting aggressive price hikes and a lack of negotiation flexibility. Noise insulation and occasional pest issues are mentioned but not systematic. Overall, expect well-staffed buildings with good amenities but prepare for potential management frustrations, particularly at lease renewal time.

Was mostly happy with this building, lived here for 3 years across two apts

Pros

Building staff was excellent. Front desk was very friendly/helpful (never lost a single package here), and trash rooms were well maintained. Management was responsive and communicative. Laundry was on every floor, and I didn't have an issue with machine availability/upkeep (usually went late at night though) Elevators were reliable and relatively fast/modern I used Astound/RCN for Internet, and had no issues.

Cons

Aggressive renewal rates (always ~8%) Noise was an issue, especially after I moved from the 22nd floor to the 4th floor; the windows had poor sound insulation against highway traffic. The water pressure was a bit on the weaker side than I would have liked. Cooling was a mixed bag. No issues in my first apt in this building. My second apt here featured one wall unit that turned off every few minutes, and another wall unit that made popping sounds and ultimately ended up bursting into smoke + burning/chemical smells. Had 1 roach and 1 mouse over 3 years; not the worst but not zero either
