Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenants of buildings managed by HAUGH FAMILY 2007 IRREVOCABLE TRUST note generally convenient locations and friendly, helpful doormen and supers who maintain safety and respond to maintenance requests. However, many reviews highlight issues with aging infrastructure, persistent pest problems (especially roaches), and less-than-ideal cleanliness and garbage management. Noise levels can be a concern, especially near busy streets or construction. Owner responsiveness is often seen as slow or inconsistent. Some buildings lack modern amenities, face problems with outdated appliances, and require upgrades to improve livability. While some tenants recommend these buildings for location and staff, substantial improvements in maintenance and management responsiveness are frequently advised.

Reviews

Former tenant·9 minutes ago

Good for the location. Not recommended for the quality.

Pros

Nice and friendly doorman. Great location and easy access to subway.

Cons

The building is old and not well maintained. Frequent roach sightings even though the building provides pest control every month. The building is heavily infested with roaches. Occasional mice sightings. Peeling wall paints especially in the bathroom. Walls are thin so you can hear the neighbors easily in your apartment. Super is not very responsive. Management is almost inaccessible.

Advice to the owners

The building needs a major renovation with serious pest control. The management needs to be more responsive and accessible to the tenants.

Cons

-Advertised laundry in building, was broken the entire time I lived there -Messy neighbors, roach infestation despite monthly exterminations -No window screens -No AC, had to install unit -Disgusting dirty wood floors with the filth varnished in -Thick white paint painted over in layers everywhere including the wires -Old appliances -No dishwasher, no microwave -Lots of square footage taken up with ventilator and old infrastructure -Elevator smells like stale cigarettes and mildew
