Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Tenant reviews for buildings managed by David Manheimer reveal a mixed management experience. In Manhattan, while apartments often boast large, well-lit rooms and some renovations, tenants frequently report issues with unresponsiveness, pest infestations (notably mice and cockroaches), poor heating, and delayed repairs. Garbage management and cleanliness also receive criticism, with some buildings suffering from rodent problems and overflowing trash. In the Bronx, reviews are more positive, noting relative quiet, good pest control, and responsive management, though some maintenance issues remain. Overall, management tends to be slow and inconsistent, with calls for improved communication, timely repairs, and better onsite supervision to enhance tenant satisfaction.

Reviews

Former tenant·5 months ago

Stayed for 2 years, not the worst

Pros

The bathrooms were newly renovated, in unit washer dryer can't be beat, huge rooms, mostly quiet neighborhood, didn't have any of my packages (except once) stolen

Cons

There were mice in our apartment that we had to hire outside extermination for, very hard to get a response to fix things we had a shower that was out of commission for ~1 month, neighbor would track poop into the stairwell?,

- Large bedrooms with closets - Updated kitchen with fullsize fridge/oven - Large kitchen and living - Rent controlled

Cons

- Poor pest management - Poor repair time (took 1 month to fix a broken shower) - Dishwasher been broken whole time and didn't fix - Poor management company - Dirty when moved in
