Review summary

Summarized from anonymous rental reviews on Openigloo.

Recent tenant feedback for Allison Anderson's buildings reveals a mixed picture of management quality. While some buildings exhibit clean, spacious apartments with responsive superintendents and ongoing modernization efforts, several properties suffer from significant issues. Garbage management is frequently criticized due to pest infestations and overflowing trash areas, accompanied by poor elevator maintenance and inadequate pest control. Noise levels and neighbor relations vary, with some residents reporting thin walls and loud disturbances. Management responsiveness is inconsistent—some tenants praise timely fixes, while others experience slow or neglected maintenance. Overall, tenants advise stronger sanitation, clearer communication, and more proactive upkeep to improve living conditions across the landlord's portfolio.

Building is shit

Pros

I like the super, he's responsive and helpful. The location is nice and there's a gym (although poorly maintained and most machines are broken or old)

Cons

Garbage management (saw a lot of mice and rats) Doormen are rude and terrible, so unhelpful to old people, pregnant people, etc. One steals packages Cockroaches in units Hallways are dirty and not well lit

Great super, spacious apartments, horrible management

Pros

Great super, spacious apartments, nice location

Cons

building-wide pest issue, management company that nickel + dimes tenants (and building staff) while failing to make basic repairs -- i've seen 3+ serious plumbing collapses in the last 2 years, and management continually fails to pay for the serious upgrades needed. They're cheap and aren't willing to equip the lovely super + staff onsite with the means necessary to keep the building in safe, habitable condition. Both elevators also fail alll the time.
