Good short term building
Pros
I didn’t have any issues with thin walls like a lot of other reviews mentioned but I may have just gotten lucky with good neighbors. I got along well with the maintenance staff and the doormen are phenomenal.
Cons
It is HOT as soon as the weather starts warming up. Building has only heat on from October to May. Currently April and 80 something degrees out and they keep saying they won’t change it to the AC system in case it gets cold again which is insane. We pay WAY too much in rent for our apartments to be saunas. Plus, the units themselves are kinda cheap. Bathrooms are fine but the floors and kitchen are definitely the landlord special and not well kept up. I move out in about 6 months and definitely looking forward to it.
Advice to the owners
Properly upgrade these expensive units, LISTEN to the complaints of your tenants, and actually respond to email concerns with etiquette rather than patronizing attitudes.
Great staff, small quirks
Pros
Have lived here for almost 2 years. All the doormen and maintenance staff are awesome, and all service requests get managed very quickly. Units are generally quite nice. Sound isolation is pretty good compared to other buildings in the area, though it's near a fire station so you will hear sirens regularly (but not too bad despite this).
Cons
I have noticed that the windows tend to get a lot of condensation build up (especially floor to ceiling ones), which has led to some black mold that I hadn't experienced in other buildings in NYC. also, the bathrooms have no exhaust so mold buildup is a bit hard to manage.
